The Mooch Is Back With Some Kind of Internet Venture, Baby!

Anthony “the Mooch” Scaramucci is currently best known as the former White House communications director whose tenure lasted just five days and additionally resulted in … loss of consortium.

But in the future, you may know him as the founder of a little something something known as the Scaramucci Post. He’s back on top, suckers! On Tuesday evening, Scaramucci told his more than 850,000 Twitter followers to follow social media accounts for what appears to be some kind of web-based venture bearing his name.

A similarly enigmatic post on Instagram offered few details on just what kind of juice the Mooch is brewing.

The Mooch may be playing Johnny Tightlips right now. But previous leaks suggest he might be advancing his onetime plan to have the White House communications division produce “video content that constructively operates as ‘The President Donald J. Trump’ show.”

The former communications director scheduled and canceled an event in early August widely believed to be related to some kind of private venture using the same concepts. Said production reportedly involved former Fox News executive Bill Shine, but Scaramucci said he canceled the debut because he was “focusing on family.”

Is the Scaramucci Post a prank? Another red herring? A Huffington Post clone, but with more of that classic gusto? A content marketing agency? Or perhaps the Mooch is pivoting to video?

Who knows, for it is 2017 and the world is but Scaramucci’s big, pearly oyster.

Gizmodo has reached out to both Scaramucci and a company listed as one of the venture’s sponsors for comment, and we’ll update if we hear back.

Update 12:05am ET: Someone has purchased the www.TheScaramucciPost.com domain. Currently, the page leads to a version of the logo Scaramucci tweeted out with a winking, tongue-wagging emoji superimposed on it.

An anonymous tipster who sent a link to the domain to Gizmodo commented, “Your one stop shop for lamp posts. Not 4 sale.”
