North sea is warming faster than other oceans

BERLIN –

The water in the North sea is warming twice as fast as in the oceans. Over the past 45 years, the temperature rose in the North sea and 1,67 degrees Celsius while that in the oceans, an average of 0,74 degrees.

It is said by the German ministry of the Environment in response to questions from the Greens. The department relies on data from the wereldklimaatorganisatie IPCC and the Alfred Wegener Institute in Bremerhaven. The stronger increase of the temperature can in the coming years, what are the consequences for life in the sea.
