Deteriorating every year the environmental situation of our planet can lead to the fact that soon we will cease to call it “green”. Not a small contribution to the environment making the soil pollution. But, as reported by the Agency TASS, scientists of the Siberian Federal University, Krasnoyarsk, invented the artificial soil for reclamation (i.e., recovery) of the soil.

It is based on natural fiber, which is impregnated with a special composition that allows a long time to maintain strength. “The biomat is fully decomposed in the next 4-5 years. The products of its decomposition become part of the soil humus, providing the plants development. Biomat will greatly simplify and accelerate the process of reclamation of anthropogenically disturbed lands, including the Northern territories, where the biological reclamation phase was severely hampered long distance and inaccessibility and harsh climatic conditions.”
