Venezuelan president Maduro to UN council

GENEVA –

The Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro speaks on september 11, the opening session of a three-week meeting of the UN human rights council. “We have a verbal confirmation that he is,” said UN spokesman Roland Gomez. “He will speak at the opening of the session.”

The government of Maduro is the last time heavily criticized by Washington, the United Nations and Latin American countries for the side scrolling of the opposition-dominated Congress, the repression of protests, picking up hundreds of opponents and the prevention of humanitarian aid in the country to the serious economic crisis to relieve.
