SAN FRANCISCO –
There blew Friday thick black smoke from the chimney of the Russian consulate in San Francisco. The smoke was so strong that the alarm went off.
The nearby fire was, however, to hear that there was nothing going on. The consular staff was simply busy with the burning of ’something’ in the fireplace. Firewood shall not have been, because the temperature Friday was tropical: 35 degrees in the shade.
