A series of epic fantasy novels “a Song of ice and fire”, developed by American writer George Martin in 1991, formed the basis of the script of the popular in our days television series “Game of thrones”. The fate of the main characters with a sinking heart watched by millions of viewers from dozens of countries. But even those who before watching read the original, do not know what will happen to the characters next. After all, the last book of the series came out already in 2011, and the sixth volume under the title “Winds of winter” will be released no earlier than 2018. Programmer Zach Tutt tired of waiting for slow writer, so I created a neural network that self-written five chapters of the new volume of “a Song of ice and fire” for George Martin.
If you believe Martin, the sixth book is supposed to tell the readers about events from the perspective of characters such as Sansa and Arya stark, Arianna the Sant’agata, Aeron Greyjoy, Theon Greyjoy, Victarion Greyjoy, Tyrion Lannister and Barristan Selmy. Written by Zach TomTom LSTM-neural network carefully studied the previous five volumes, including 5376 pages of text. Each Chapter of the new book begins with the name of the character that asked the programmer, and the rest of the network without limit. All five chapters written by her, anyone can read on GitHub.
I think Zak told reporters that really wanted to preserve the characteristic of George Martin style of narration is third-person from the point of view of one of the characters. To date, the neural network is quite young and inexperienced, so sometimes produce spelling errors and sometimes chooses not the best phrase. But in spite of this, based on the previous books she’s made some unexpected predictions. It’s not actually spoilers, since this is only a guess cars, but just in case, then you better not read it, and then you never know. SPOILERS!!! For example, Jaime Lannister kill his sister Cersei, Jon snow will ride the dragon, and the Advisor Varys will kill Daenerys Targaryen. All these theories have been discussed by the community of fans of the books and series, but none of them no evidence. Will see if the machine can predict further developments in this story.
