One of them is a futuristic dashboard for cars, where is the helm and the various indicators there are only a few buttons.
As can be seen from the annexed to the patent illustrations, the center of the new panel can be a button “Go” and “Stop now”. In addition, there are also two buttons power window, lock doors, adjust lighting and heated seats. In addition, attached to the patent documentation it is impossible to understand how using a console passengers will be able to ask the necessary car route.
However, Waymo certainly have foreseen the possibility of routing. Probably, it will be done via voice control or through the app — so the user will be able to fully control the car the usual way. And in the case of an emergency will be able to stop the car with the button “Stop now”.
