The developers of the HSE have created a neural network that is able to distinguish and remember odors, and then put their construction in a compact device and patented it. Now the “electronic nose” lying in the user’s pocket, can smell the subtle smell of gas independently to classify or to remember new.
Modern means-the collectors, usually tuned to some specific gas or odour, but often the danger is a mixture of gases, so to talk about efficiency of conventional devices is not necessary. But the “electronic nose” is able to accurately classify the gases or a mixture thereof, while referring to its own database. According to the developers of the Laboratory for space studies in technology, systems and processes of the HSE, its accuracy is comparable to the work of the noses of many living beings.
The nose pocket is useful for tracking pollution of the environment and facilities will help to ensure the safety and to warn in advance, in the event of a release of toxic gases or terrorist attack. In addition, the device can be equipped aircraft, spacecraft and drones.
