A Japanese woman has died of an infectious disease that they suffered through a cat. The cat was infected by the bite of a tick. As far as is known this is the first time that a man has a such an infection, by transmission over a mammal.
The ministry of Health in Japan stated that the woman the disease suffered when she was a weak stray cat helped. Ten days later she died of severe fever. The infection caused severe bloedstollingsproblemen. The woman was a man in his fifties, reported the BBC.
Ticks are parasites that multiple diseases can transfer. They are mainly associated with Lyme disease, which include the nervous system can affect.
