The Polish president Andrzej Duda refuses EU president Donald Tusk meet for a conversation about the controversial justitiehervormingen in Poland. Duda has an invitation from Tusk, himself a Pole, and ex-prime minister of the country, chopped off, confirm to EU sources in Brussels.
According to Duda’s chief of staff see the president ,,no space for the intervention of the head of the European Council”, reports the Polish news agency PAP. The Polish ministers of Foreign Affairs and Justice gave earlier this week even though not at home with a request for dialogue of Frans Timmermans, vice-president of the European Commission.
