The fire brigade in Croatia has its hands full with forest fires on the Adriatic coast. Also on the Dutch popular Istrian peninsula, there are burning, including in the historic town of Pula. People in the vicinity of the fires to leave their homes, victims are not cases.
Other fires were in the vicinity of the coastal city of Split and the islands of Pag and Vir. Along the miles-long coast of Croatia every summer forest fires, but this time they are particularly violent. The strong north wind makes the fire difficult. The authorities have a warning to issue for the use of open fire.
