Now “stupid” military trucks have to maintained manually, independently identifying problems and ordering the necessary parts but it is long, and logistics is affected negatively due to downtime of broken machinery delivery fail.
“The same trucks that will replace them will perform routine operations on their own, freeing up people for more important tasks. The machine will be able to find the problem and to order a 3D printer the necessary parts,” explained Michael Dunn from the military.
Body kit for military truck of the future is already in development, so this summer the creators will conduct the first test filling.
