Police sweeps Hamburg clean

UPDATE 02.21 hours The police in Hamburg is by demonstrators attacked with bottles, stones and fireworks, but hits hard back with tear gas and water cannons. The police are trying violently to the streets as soon as possible to wipe clean, although it remains a game between cat and mouse, because the rioters come ever back.

They have speakers clear to the protesters to know that they are in the streets should leave. Every time the police threaten to leave, the demonstrators back. The crowd, however, remains large ( thousands of people), partly due to the dozens of existing socialist youth. They shout slogans like ‘rot’ and ‘the whole of Hamburg hate the police’, to the agents.

Charges

According to reporters on the spot: Daniel van Dam and Rob Savelberg going to the police proactively work to escalations, to prevent. They want to clearly show: “we will not accept, we are the boss around here in the neighbourhood’.” The police surround the whole area. ,,There are charges which yesterday was heavily plundered.”

Under the ‘Black Block’activists, there are several Dutch people. In the notorious Schanzenviertel district are the most anti-G20 protesters and rioters, massively supported by the citizens and shopkeepers.

A few hours after the end of the G20 summit laaiden the wake of the riots in Hamburg. The police put several water cannons in order to put an end to various zitblokkades in the city. Protesters bekogelden the police with bottles, prohibited fireworks, stones and flares.

In the evening gathered according to the police some six hundred demonstrators, on the Neue Pferdemarkt and the nearby Schulterblattstraat where a day earlier rioting. According to a politiewoordvoerder was at first quiet, until a larger group of people against the police began to turn. Some protesters have been arrested.
