Zara Home the weapon used in Dutch family

BRUSSELS –

The Spanish firm Zara Home should pay compensation for the use of a Dutch family coat of arms. This has a Brussels court determined, reported Wednesday the newspaper The Standard.

The case against Zara Home was brought by the Belgian designer of the coat of arms, ontwerpsnijder Patrick Damiaens, and by the Dutch family Odink. Damiaens saw, to his surprise, the same coat of arms on cubical sierkaarsen in a French store of Zara Home.
