BRUSSELS –

Thousands of activists are preparing for two turbulent days in Hamburg, where Friday and Saturday of the G20 summit takes place. But also in the hall where the leaders of the world’s economic powerhouses meet, it will be expected to be called to draw near. With topics as climate change, free trade and migration are there, in neat diplomatentaal, ’difficult discussions’ is expected, especially with president Donald Trump.

Prime minister Mark Rutte should there almost all the time. German chancellor Angela Merkel, which the G20 this year, presides, the Netherlands had been invited as a host country; an honor which in The Hague in 2010 for the last time at the fell. Also on the ministerial preparations did the government. In Ruttes wake follow, also Jeroen Dijsselbloem (Finance) and Bert Koenders (Foreign Affairs).

Friday afternoon comes another ’Trump-topic discussed: the undermining of the international treaty on climate change that by the end of 2015 in Paris was closed. While just about the whole world promises to make efforts to reduce the CO2-emissions and thereby the temperature rise limit, drew a Trump on June 1, back out of the treaty.

Closure

A dinner and concert to close the Friday off, for the ’twenty’ on Saturday to speak about migration, cooperation with Africa, digitization and health. On this last theme may Mean an introduction.
