The Greek coast guard Monday, a Turkish cargo ship fired upon orders ignored in order for an inspection in the port of Rhodes. With sixteen bullet holes in the hull, turned the Turkish boat back to Turkish waters. No one was injured, said the captain against the Turkish media.
Turkey condemned the disproportionate” action by the Greek coast guard. ,,There is no justification for an unarmed merchant ship to shoot that cargo between two Turkish ports”, said the ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara. ,,Our only consolation is that nobody has been killed or injured.”
