The cases mayor of Brussels, Yvan Mayeur, to get off after his departure earlier this month from his party, the Parti Socialiste (PS). He awaits the imminent eviction on Friday by the ethics commission of the Brussels PS does not.
In a letter of resignation to the chairperson of the commission writes the French-speaking ex-mayor: “I may have made mistakes. I regret that very much.”
“I am a socialist militant”, writes Mayeur in his letter to the PS commission. “I was still convinced that I acted in the interest of our ideal.”
The party chairman and former prime minister Elio Di Rupo keeps Sunday a congress which voted on the measures to gegraai of partijbonzen to fight. Earlier this year, rolled all PS-headlines because of scandals about payments.
