The French company Michelin, founded in 1889, is one of the leading manufacturers of automobile tires. Engineers in different years have sponsored many innovations in the tire industry. For example, I created a radial tyre or so-called “green tires”, which allows to save fuel. But their achievements Michelin does not stop and continues to develop new concepts in tire future. One of these concepts became bus, printed on a 3D printer.
These tires do not need to pump, and they are created from organic material is completely biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Buses are equipped with special sensors which in real time will inform the onboard computer of the car the entire information on their current condition and wear. When abrasion of the surface of the tyre can be restored with the help of special 3D printer. Using the same printer on the surface of the tire can cause a special pattern, make them in the winter. Of course, it is just a fantastic concept. But who knows, maybe Michelin really work to make it a reality.
