British doctors allowed the baby to die

LONDON/STRASBOURG –

The terminally ill baby Charlie Gard does not need life to be held up for an experimental treatment in the US. The European Court for Human Rights decided on Tuesday not to intervene in the British case, as the parents asked, according to British media. That means that the doctors and the medical support that the boy of ten months of life may cease.

The treatment of Charlie was the commitment of a legal battle between the parents and the British authorities. Doctors see no treatment options and want the child worthy to die. The parents think otherwise and want to take the baby to the United States.
