The American company that cladding is provided for the renovation of the Grenfell Tower, the sale of that product to the tyres. Arconic left, according to the BBC managed to stop the sale of the material Reynobond PE for use in high-rise buildings.
The company took the decision in the aftermath of the deadly fire in London, which earlier this month certainly 79 people were killed. Arconic said in a statement that the siding is no longer sold on high-rise projects such as building codes in several places in the world.
The combustible cladding is seen as the main reason that the fire in Grenfell Tower could quickly spread. The British authorities acknowledged after the fire that the material is not used should not have a building higher than 18 metres. Also in other countries, the use is regulated.
