Certainly sixty high-rise buildings in the United Kingdom do not meet the fire safety requirements. This is evident from tests which have been carried out after the deadly fire in a residential tower in London, reported the British government Sunday.
British officials in the aftermath of the fire in the Grenfell Tower, about six hundred high-rise buildings under the microscope. Thousands of Londoners had Friday their apartments to leave, after the fire brigade had concluded that the buildings to be unsafe.
By the fire in the Grenfell Tower came earlier this month certainly 79 people were killed. The fire is believed to arise in a fridge-freezer. The fire could then rapidly spread through the flammable cladding on the building.
