Monarchs say goodbye to president of Italy

ROME –

King Willem-Alexander and queen Máxima have Wednesday evening in the Palazzo Colonna in Rome, said goodbye to the Italian president, Sergio Mattarella. That happened after a concert and reception that the king and queen their Italian host was offered as a thanksgiving for the hospitality during the Tuesday, started his state visit. With the goodbye is that visit is formally at an end, even though there is Thursday and Friday continue to be in Milan.

The formal outcome, however, makes it possible for Thursday to start a new state, that of the Holy see in Vatican city. The kerkstaat attaches to the ceremonial and formal separation in diplomatic relations with countries. For example, an ambassador who is accredited in Italy not at the same time, representative to the Holy see. The netherlands therefore has two ambassadors in Rome. That are today, although with the consent of the Vatican under one roof, but each have a private address and entrance.
