Head of Hyperloop: we do not need the tickets

In an interview with reporters at the St. Petersburg international economic forum Dirk Ahlborn, head of Hyperloop Transportaion Technologoes, told about his vision of passenger transportation of the future, and noted that tickets to passengers may not be necessary.

He explained that the purpose of the company which he heads, is to not just to create a new infrastructure. Before the HTT task is to be used for the carriage of passengers and improve the experience of people from traveling.

That is why, says Albarn, you should think about what amount we need to set tolls, and how to capitalize on the time spent by the passenger in transit.

According to the head of HTT, even forty minutes spent on the road, are already very good time for you to show passengers ads and monetize the project in any other way, because now, many carriers are suffering losses and not being able to sell enough tickets, continue to work less, occasionally turning for help to the state.

Dirk Ahlborn expressed confidence that his company will be able to earn extra services provided to passengers during the trip, but noted that the company’s management has not yet defined how this will happen.
