A Japanese billionaire has on Thursday (local time), the highest price ever paid for by an American made work of art. The Japanese internetwinkelmagnaat Yusaku Maezawa, when auction house Sotheby’s in New York 110.5 million dollar (over 99 million) for work by the late graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The artwork bears no name, and allows a colored skull. The New Yorker jean-michel Basquiat died in 1988 at the age of 27 from a heroin overdose.
