Olympus has introduced a new protected camera TG series. Model Olympus TG-5 is designed for shooting in harsh conditions. It can withstand impact from a height of 2.1 m, load up to 100 kg and frost down to -10°C, dust and the hydrostatic pressure at the depth up to 15 m without special underwater boxes. With optional underwater case PT-058 you can do to underwater photos and video at depths up to 45 meters.
The camera has a 12 megapixel CMOS sensor, wide angle lens 25-100mm 1:2.0 (35mm equivalent), providing a 4x optical zoom, ISO sensitivity up to 12 800 ISO and processor TruePic VIII. It is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps and Full HD at 120 frames per second.
Also, the manufacturer notes the new controls and a lens with double glass and protected from fogging. The camera is equipped with a 3-inch display, built-in GPS modules and Wi-Fi.
Sale Olympus TG-5 in red and black will start in June 2017 at a price of $ 450 in the U.S. and 480 euros in Europe.
