Netflix together with the Polish Studio Platige Image has started work on the film adaptation of the series the Witcher. We are talking about the show, which also agreed to work and the Creator of the universe novelist Andrzej Sapkowski. He acts in an Advisory role.
The project has just confirmed that the whole production process, including casting and shooting ahead. Wait for the premiere, in all probability, will have a long time.
There is no data about whether the show had something to do with the gaming incarnation of the universe “the Witcher” from the Studio CD Projekt RED.
Eric Barmak (Eric Barmack), Vice President of Netflix, said: “Andrzej Sapkowski managed to create a very thoughtful, interesting world full of magic and charm. Many in our company was encouraged by the news that on the series will work with the Creator of the Witcher”.
Sapkowski himself has also commented on the beginning of work on the series: “I’m glad Netflix filmed my stories, while remaining true to the source and the topics I touched on in his novels for over 30 years. I am very glad the beginning of collaboration”.
