The Formula 1 is more fun without Bernie!

A highly subjective article on personal title, feel free to disagree.

Every now and then dive Bernie Ecclestone at Formula 1 races. So she shook the Brit at the previous race in Russia was still the hand of Vladimir Putin, but today it shone BE by their absence at the Grand Prix of Spain. Ecclestone went for decades to the commercial ropes in Formula 1 and this was mainly his own wallet is high on the priority list.

Not a problem, but the aged Brit was somewhat conservative in his views. Internet was for adolescents and the F1 had to be especially an exclusive party for the happy few. I can’t imagine that the philosophy of Ecclestone a large part is down to came.

Liberty Media

The new owner of the commercial rights of the Formula 1, Liberty Media, takes the under the direction of Chase “El Snorro” Carey happy otherwise. There are now on the official F1 channel on Youtube regularly videos posted, including summaries of the races.

Also notable: parties who do not have the correct rights were, until recently, practically no moving picture show, because it is much too expensive. Now we see that images do on other channels than Ziggosport back! For example, think of Studio Sport, but also in interviews on TV, you see more and more images of races back, which formerly (to name but a few) images were used of Max Verstappen during events at Zandvoort.

Then: the interaction with the audience. Liberty Media is cunning and smart enough to be a whining kid with a Ferrari-hats off to the public to fish and then to the Ferrari motorhome to pick up, for a nice moment with Kimi were times. Call the flabby American feel-good tv, we find it brilliant. The menneke going to be like a spear, the internet and the F1 spun yarn. Under Bernie was this probably never happened, such as reaguurder @mrcabdrivert rightly noted.

Last but not least: not every fart is by the stewards punished. Riders can more afford to have and do that too! The only driver that today at the GP of Spain on the fingers was tapped is Stoffel Vandoorne, but the Belgian was simply to kernels when Mass ‘m on a round of wanted. Further, we saw the hard but fair duels. Whether that is due to the new guidelines? Difficult to say, but I suspect it.

Now, you guys!

Agree, not agree or additions? You know where you are. Oh and Bernie, no hard feelings man. You have a lot for the sport, but it was time for a fresh wind in Formula 1 country.

UPDATE: Apologies for the wrong coverage! Eccleston was, however, present in Spain. Blogging and watching tv go apparently not (well) together.
