The army of the Ivory coast is in Bouaké is busy with an operation to ’restore order’ after three days of mutiny. That has chief of staff of the army, general Sekou Touré, Sunday said. The unrest was due to the payment of bonuses.
“These are extremely serious acts are in direct contradiction to the beschermingsmissie that the army has,” said general Touré. “As a result, a military operation is underway to restore order.”
