Microsoft takes measures to cyber attack

REDMOND –

Microsoft has Friday measures taken to protect computers against the ransomware attack that earlier in the day in dozens of countries appeared. That has a company spokesman in a statement to Reuters news agency.

’Today, our employees detection and protection added against new malicious software known as Ransom:Win32.WannaCrypt,” said the spokesman in the statement. The company works with its customers to additional assistance.

Leak

The special thing about this ransomware is that active use is made of a leak in the Windows operating system of Microsoft that is earlier by the American intelligence service NSA was used. The methodology of the NSA was recently on the street, and now by criminals abused.

There is also a security update from Microsoft, that the leak is plugged. However, there are organizations that the update is not yet installed.
