Pope Francis is Friday afternoon at the beginning of his two-day visit to Portugal received by president Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Shortly before that it was the religious potentate arrived at the military airport of Monte Real, where he was welcomed by a cheering crowd of hundreds of believers. “Long live the pope, long live the pope”, they sang when he stepped off the plane.
