SpaceX will launch Internet satellites this year

That SpaceX plans to launch satellites for Internet, company representatives said at a meeting in the us Senate. It is planned to put into orbit more than four thousand units, which will help to ensure broadband Internet is not only the U.S., but a number of other countries.

Later this year SpaceX is going to launch a prototype satellite, which will distribute the Internet and will wait for your “buddy” — the second prototype satellite will join him a little later, in early 2018.

The satellites will continue to test the next year, and if they show themselves worthy, in 2019 SpaceX will start to send into orbit the new spacecraft. It is assumed that SpaceX will be able to achieve this goal in just five years.

Each satellite will weigh about 400 kilograms, and the size they will be impressive, but I think SpaceX that the Falcon 9 rocket will cope with the task to display the satellites in low earth orbit will be much cheaper.

In the future SpaceX plans to cover the entire Earth with the help of network of satellites, delivering Internet even in those areas of the world where it had never happened before.
