Google opened a preview of the new design of the popular video service YouTube for a small group of people. As explained by the developers, they create a new kind of YouTube for the desktop, which will shift the focus on your favorite videos and channels, at the same time making it easier to use.
Previously redesigned YouTube with a dark theme has already been able to try out some users. Now Google has officially unveiled it. Anyone can begin mastering new design YouTube by going to youtube.com/new.
In the revised design YouTube used universal appearance, called Material Design, which Google started to promote with the launch of Android 5 Lollipop.
Also, the developers moved to a new, more high-speed framework called Polymer, which enables faster adoption of new functions. One of these new features was a dark theme for YouTube. To switch from light theme to dark and Vice versa is possible in the settings that is opened by clicking on a user photo in the top right corner.
