Trump speaks to Putin about Syria

WASHINGTON/MOSCOW –

The United States will send a delegate to Astana to the vredesoverleg on Syria to attend. That the White House has announced, after president Donald Trump call had spoken with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. During the G20 summit in Hamburg (5 and 6 July) to take the two leaders together for the first time personally.

The talks in Kazakhstan are an initiative of Russia, Turkey and Iran. Wednesday and Thursday is a new round. A cease-fire in Syria is the main item on the agenda. Trump and Putin agreed with the other parties, anything will do to put an end to the violence.

They consulted also about cooperation in the fight against the Islamic State and about the explosive situation in North Korea. According to the Kremlin, was the maintenance business and constructive. Washington was of the same opinion.
