A Ferrari showroom without a V12? That’s not going to happen!
Ferrari and the V12 are inextricably linked. The first 1.5 V12 in the 125S up to the 6.5 V12 in the 812 Superfast, the atmospheric twaalfpitter has always been a part of the leveringsgamma of Ferrari. Many were afraid that the same 812 Superfast once the last car with such a power source could be, but according to Sergio Marchionne, that is certainly not the case.
According to the almighty turtleneck sweater meets the new V12 namely simply the current EU6B emission requirements. Does not take too long time, the EU6C requirements apply to newly introduce cars and therefore there will be doctored. Ferrari, however, would already have a solution available to new models to these rules.
From 2021 to come Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle rules (BEEHIVES) in operation and the atmospheric V12 need help from electric motors to meet the requirements. Apparently considers Ferrari this as a better option than the V12 in the footsteps of the V8 also turbo’s with. And I can personally best a little happy.
