Next flagship smartphone of LG Electronics, LG G6, would be 40-50 dollars more expensive at the time of release than its predecessor, the LG G5. This was told by Korean resource ETnews, citing sources from component manufacturers in the mobile Telecom industry.

The price increase associated with the increased functionality, including protection according to IP68 standard and premium glass casing and non-removable, but not exploding, battery.

Recall, LG was appointed following a press event on 26 February, just in time for the MWC 2017, which will take place in Barcelona from 27 February to 2 March. Presumably, on it and debuts LG G6.

For it has officially introduced a special screen from LG Display — 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The resolution of the new display is 1440 x 2880 pixels, which gives a resulting density of 564 points per inch. For comparison, the LG G5 uses a 5.3-inch 16:9 display with a resolution of QHD (1440 x 2560) pixels and 554 ppi.

According to earlier leaks, the LG G6 is equipped with dual primary camera with a different focal distance for each of the modules, as well as two-tone flash. The smartphone is based on the top-end Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm 835 or last year’s Snapdragon 821. On the bottom edge houses the USB-Type C, and on the top there is a 3.5 mm headphone Jack. The fingerprint scanner on the rear panel, apparently, will be able to perform the functions of buttons on/off.
