BMW 7-series goes on a diet, comes finally as the M7?

That BMW is on a new generation of the 7 series worked, will not be a surprise. Important: our eastern neighbours go there’s finally a M-badge on paste.

The sixth version of the 7-series is already being tested. BMW has as a goal ‘m next year in Frankfurt to present, so that the sale can start in 2016. The Germans have taken a good look at the benefits of the i3 and i8, and therefore have less than 200 kilograms, can save on the weight of their top of the line. This would make the new 7-series, and even be lighter than the 535i, which is not on a weight loss.

The 7-series also use the same platform as the recently redesigned 3-series and 4-series and is also supplied with just about every conceivable engine configuration, with four, six, eight or twelve cylinders and rear-wheel – or all-wheel drive as an extra option.

BMW wants the fight with the A8 and S8, Audi would like to be a little more exciting to make and that, according to Autocar do with a completely new BMW M7 or M750i M Performance version. That would be powered by the same 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo from the M5, where even a little extra power off is pressed. Will it finally come?
