The Japanese were new on the spelletjesmarkt and durst no money to put on the plan of the young designer. Yamauchi then worked on a Mario Kart-like game, but was soon in the holes that he is not happy.

The Japanese car enthusiast founded in 1997 his own studio: Polyphony Digital. The rest is history, because in the years that followed, grew Gran Turismo into a phenomenon. The game went much as 70 million times over the counter and made the last few years even for the link between the virtual and real racing world with the GT Academy.
