Volvo V60 D6
A Volvo that is not only straight, angular, and only practical. We had some getting used to, but thanks to the Dutch tax authorities did Volvo dealers particularly good business.

Both the S60 and the V60 proved true leaselievelingen with 0%, 7% and 20% inclusion, but there is more for the 60 series Volvo recommends. The S60 and V60 are flocking to business used and the supply is relatively large, there are more than 800 on ebay. Not surprisingly, the offer of V60’s bigger, it forms three quarters of the offer. Only a quarter has a petrol engine, and the distribution automatic transmission-manual gearbox is fifty-fifty.

Issues

  • Keyless Entry refuses sometimes, the reception of the sensors is not fantastic. Sensors can also be faulty, this costs approximately 500 euros per door.
  • Broken injectors D5, the motor runs on four cylinders.
  • The D4 with new tweeliter four-cylinder engine has a lot of pollution issues with the EGR valve. There appears a message “limited engine power” and a turtle on the dashboard. Sometimes lost to re-start the problem, but ultimately, the EGR valve (and cooling) can be replaced by a newer version. Make sure that had already happened.
  • The tyre wear at the D6 Twin Engine or Plugin Hybrid is on the firm side.
  • Starting with the D6 that can only be solved by loosening the negative terminal of the regular battery.
  • The message “Hybrid system is temporarily unavailable” can the D6 on a regular basis, usually it works again after a shutdown and restart of the car.
  • Luggage compartment of Plugin hybrid/ Twin Engine versions is small for the size of car.
  • The rear camera sometimes gives a distorted image.
  • Check operation of safety systems such as BLIS and active cruise control, especially with the D6, where in some instances more electrical problems seem to occur.
  • High voltage generator in D6 can prematurely fail. Note rattling sound from the engine that remains the same for increasing speed. In Power mode, it is often better to hear.
  • Diesels that a lot of short trips have been made, have sometimes diluted or contaminated oil.
  • The turbo of the D2/DrivE engines regularly give early the spirit.
