CO2
Is leaserijdend the Netherlands a little sweet for the environment?

The fleet of lease cars in the Netherlands is becoming increasingly greener. Due to stricter legislation from the government and due to financial reasons, choose the majority of the leaserijders for a car with an as low as possible tax liability. This tax is calculated on the basis of the emissions of a vehicle. The lower, the more chance you have low tax liability.

Because cars with a low or no emissions, for example, electric cars, plug-in hybrids or small city car, in an economical bijtellingscategorie fall, the general emissions under lease cars still further. Figures from the Association of Dutch Autoleasemaatschappijen (VNA) shows that the average CO2 emissions more and more drops. In 2011 the average emissions were 125 grams per kilometre, was that in 2015 only 91 grams. That is quite a big difference.

The expectation is that this decline will continue. The full electric car wins because of popularity among the (lease car drivers) and these vehicles emit 0 g/km.
