The political, the Circuit Park Zandvoort, the autosportbond (KNAF) and industry go together to try the Formula 1 circus to the circuit in the dunes. Now to make it?
It has been often tried, but never succeeded: the F1 back to Zandvoort shows for decades an unattainable option. After thirty GP’s between 1952 and 1985 was over and out for the king’s class of motorsport. Since then several times tried the circuit back to pick up, but that was always unattainable because there will always be parties that straddle layers.
This time seems to be the starting position however, is stronger than ever: with the successes of Max Verstappen and the successful Family Days as the main pillars to try the previously mentioned organizations once again at a Grand Prix event in the Netherlands. There is a real feasibility study, announced at the end of this year is completed. There must be a plan that can be presented to Bernie Ecclestone and his family. According To Prince Bernhard Jr., who is the owner of the circuit nowadays, it is not only for Zandvoort as well, but for the whole country as the F1 comes to the Netherlands.
As an example the Grand Prix of Mexico cited, that a few years after the debut of Sergio Perez in Formula 1 could be kept. Or the same stunt in the Netherlands are also possible, dare we here on the editorial to doubt, not for nothing was it in the past is always impossible to get a Grand Prix at the infamous Junkyardrace-job to keep. Most mentioned issues are the accessibility of the circuit and the layout of the track not safe enough. But that does not mean that we should not hope, of course!
