Never before had so many lease cars

The netherlands counted at the end of 2015 a record number of lease cars.

That says, the VNA (Association of Dutch Autoleasemaatschappijen). It is estimated that the size of the Dutch leasemarkt about 755.000 cars large. Never before had so many lease cars. By the end of 2014 there were, according to VNA calculations approximately 720.000 lease cars. The growth of a small 5 percent in 2015, which would be the result of an improving economy and the increasing popularity of private lease.

Private Lease
Leasing to consumers is a steady trend emerged. The netherlands counted at the end of 2015 to approximately 36,000 private-leased passenger cars, 19.000 more than by the end of 2014. Until recently, the lease primarily for business car drivers, but more and more consumers discover the benefits of a company car (incl label).

VNA-fleet
The fleet of the with the VNA connected leasing companies counted at the end of last year, more than 701.100 lease cars, which is a growth of 6.7 percent compared to 2014. The personenautopark has almost 570.000 (+7.6 percent) and the bestelautopark more than 130,000 vehicles (+2.8 percent). Renate Hemerik, director of VNA: “The VNA-members buy 43% of all sold in the Netherlands new cars and thus makes the autoleasebranche an important contribution to the economic development.”
