Google will bring Android applications on chromebooks through the Play Store

Yesterday kicked off the conference for developers Google I/O 2016 in mountain view (CA), it will last until may 20, and while not all the announcements were made by the company. As expected, in the near future, Google will announce a new opportunity for chromebooks, laptops based on Chrome OS — the ability to access any Android application in easy mode, directly via the Google Play app store.

Confirmation of this was discovered in the description section of the ‘Bring your Android App to Chrome’ in the schedule of konferentsii, which, however, was soon removed. However, the “evidence” already scattered across the network.

We will remind, earlier it was already confirmation of the preparation for this step in the beta version of Chrome OS version 51. In 2014, Google made available some Android applications such as Vine, Evernote and Duolingo on Chrome OS in limited testing. Testing was extended in April 2015 with a release ARC (App Runtime for Chrome) Welder, which allows developers to run the Android application on any desktop operating system with Google Chrome browser, such as Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
