Engines
That parenthesis, we obviously know all of the most recent A4, as well as pronounced horizontal line on the flanks of the new A3. Fortunately, there is still more to tell about the facelifted A3. There is a new engine for the former benjamin of the family, in the form of a real 1.0 TFSI. This driecilindertje is good for a pretty hefty 115 hp and 200 Nm. The latter figure is available between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm. Pretty bizarre when you think that you suit let’s say 15 years ago, at least a (AFTER) 2.0 four-cylinder would need for such values, but there is also the tip life.
Anyway, with the 1.0 means the fun is still not on. The A3 will continue with the 1.4 TFSI with cylinder-on-demand, that if desired, two of the four cylinders shut off. Output? 150 hp and 250 Nm. In addition, there is a new 2.0 TFSI with 190 hp and 320 Nm (and optional with 7-speed DSG) and a 2.0 TDI with two different power levels: 150 hp and 184 hp. The dieselinstapper is the 1.6 TDI with 110 hp.

Oh yes! The minimalistic but beautiful display that we already know from the R8 (driving test) also comes to the A3. The TFT screen measures 12,3-inch and has different display modes. The one is basic, it is actually a digital tellerpartij, the other fires the file to your work and bizarre amounts of infotainment at you. Of course, everything is extremely smartphone-friendly, such as the heurt.
Safety, chassis and koetsvarianten
The obligatory tune safety systems include traffic jam assist, which works with adaptive cruise control. Emergency Assist put the car on the side as soon as the system senses that the driver is not stuurinput more supplies and cross-traffic assist warns you of other traffic for example, if you reverse a car park manoeuvre. Handy, you the boss, now left at home.
The look of the A3 further point set with all the features that we, as already mentioned, seen on the A4. This includes Matrix LED headlights, and five new colors. The chassis is, according to Audi itself properly balanced and sporty, but we have not yet ridden so that we can not yet confirm. The S3: + 10 hp!
My, my, that’s the trouble. The tight S3 get a whopping 10 horsepower and 20 full Nm’s extra out of its 2.0 TFSI. The total output now stands at 310 hp and 400 Nm. E-tron and g-tron

When to buy?
Then really finally: the fresh A3 is early next month at the dealer and the first copies will be during the summer delivered.
