The classy British alternative to German or Italian sports car. The DB9 is a timeless appearance.
The DB9 came out in 2004 on the market and the basic ingredients to do any petrolhead mouth-watering: 450 hp and 570 Nm from a naturally breathable 5,9-litre V12, with a choice of a manual zesbak or a six-speed automatic transmission. The lines are sleek, sexy and timeless. And that applies not only to the coupe but also the cabriolet, or rather “Volante”. In 2008, given the DB9 a update, where small external changes and in addition 20 extra horsepower and an extra 30 Nm from the V12 out to be. Also, there was a major upgrade of the chassis with this facelift, making cars after the facelift with the avid riders which are more popular.
In september 2012, the new generation DB9 unveiled, which is in fact a further development of this DB9.

On Marktplaats.nl 12 DB9’s sale of the said generation. The manual gearbox is rare. In fact, at the time of writing there is the full range of vending machines. One in three cars is a Volante.
Prices start just under €50,000 euros and go up to just under €90,000 euros. Most owners are careful with their car, because at two, after they don’t have more than 100,000 kilometers behind the back.

Issues
- The DB9 is developed in the time that Ford was in charge at the British supercarbouwer. That means that parts such as the ignition keys and dashboardschakelaars of Ford and Volvo to encounter in a car which had a starting price of over 200.000 euro.
- Cars from 2006 on are standard equipped with Bluetooth, navigation system, and heated seats.
- Service history. This is important in all cars, but the Aston Martin DB9 has really in need of love. You don’t want any car to Kwik-Fit at the angle it is taken care of, locate a copy at a dealer or specialist maintained.
- The V12 is very sensitive to low oil. The engine should be super smooth walk, with a noticeable power increase around 4000 rpm.
- The Touchtronic automatic transmission should be fast and smooth pick up, especially from a standstill.
- Check whether all electrically driven items are working properly. Central locking, electric windows, navigation screen, seat adjustment, the air conditioning and the stereo are all very expensive to make / replace.
- The Aston Martin was separate from the facelift in the interim, we are continuously improved. By definition therefore applies: buy the newest you can afford, because that is better.
- The panels are difficult to repair / replace, so check whether there are no damages.
- There is a recall for problems with the suspension from the subframe and anti-roll bar at the front. Not all cars are back, so check whether you are not rattling sound heard during the test drive.
- The Sportpack is a must if you like spicy send.
- The manual gearbox is rare, and therefore more expensive.
- Cars with duotone interior are also popular (i.e. inflation-proof).
