Utrecht wants to blind to work as a bus driver

The municipality of Utrecht is busy.

Jeroen te Braak (45) is blind and looking for a job. For this, he gets tips from the municipality, but these tips were quite striking. So he had to go apply for vacancies as a traffic divider, bus driver and truck driver. To Braak went several times to the bell at the church, but they kept on going. At the end he switched the NCRV-television, The Monitor, and when there was, however, seriously to his complaints listened to.

To Braak told in the tv program:

“I’m at the church and they know that I am blind. But they keep me from this kind of jobs request. I have been previously with them on the call that pulled this is not possible, but that doesn’t matter. It goes on and on. Apparently I’m just a number in the system and is not to be known that I have a handicap because I am not a benefit for disabled people have.”

The municipality of Utrecht is now an “individual reintegration course” offer. They research still how this could have happened and how to fix it, to prevent this in the future happen more often… Yeah right, but in the meantime, we know that you are blind not just have to write off. A blind South African has ever been a land speed record of 322 km/h (in imitation of a blind Belgian).
