The Observer Coupe never went into production, but specially he was.
Bodybuilders, MGA decided to make a e24 to build with a huge glass roof. That did it in co-operation with the magazine the Observer (hence the name) and also got the cooperation of BMW (GB), a 635 CSi (the car that actually M6 would have had to be called) provided for the project. The result was a BMW 635 CSi with a glass panoramic roof and rear window that open could. This particular BMW e24 635 CSi was built as showauto for the NEC Motorshow in Birmingham in 1983.
The glass roof panel slid at the opening on the rear window to a special space above the trunk, so the load space is not negatively impacted. There is little about the car known. Probably is only this concept car was built, but there were brochures handed out so the sales were there. The concept was a few years ago on sale for $50,000 dollars, when a damaged glass. The car had at that time about 16,000 miles (26.000 miles) on the clock.
