Operator Tele2 launched commercial operation of its cellular network of the fourth generation in the Kemerovo region. On may 19, 4G communication will become available in all the cities of Kuzbass with the population of over 50 thousand people.
We are talking about Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Belovo, Kiselevsk, Leninsk-Kuznetsk, Mezhdurechensk, Prokopevsk and Yurga. As a result, at the time of LTE launch will cover an area with a population of more than 65% of the population of the region.
LTE network launches in the frequency range of 800 MHz, because of the principle of technological neutrality. It provides wide coverage and high data rate. Experts Tele2 for six months, upgraded the wiring centre, built new base stations and installed additional equipment on existing facilities. All technical work has touched 700 the network infrastructure.
In addition, the operator plans to launch 4G in two more regions of Russia until the end of the first half of 2016. Until the end of June LTE will be available in the Voronezh region and Republic of Karelia.
