Operator MTS has signed with Nokia cooperation agreements. Companies are going to engage in the development of communication technologies of the fifth generation in Russia.
The companies together will work on a plan to deploy solutions 5G and the Internet of things (IoT). At international sports events in Russia in 2018 will be running in the test segment of the network 5G. MTS and Nokia will jointly test multiple projects on the basis of the speed of 4G and 5G technologies such as LTE-Advanced Pro.
We will remind, in December of 2015, MTS and Ericsson announced plans in 2018, will test the 5G in a dedicated area on the world football Championship-2018 in Russia. Huawei and MegaFon plan to test a new standard for the world football Championship 2018.
