Do take a chance..

The United States has two very large manufacturers (GM, Ford) and a medium-sized manufacturer (Chrysler), are all good for a sloppy 17-18 million cars per year. They produce mainly for the domestic market, and the big two have overseas factories to local production. So, no, it is not an American brand.

Then who? Bayerische Motoren Werke, or BMW. The Germans have a huge factory in Spartanburg (South Carolina), where the X3, X4, X5, X6, and future X7 are made. As soon as this X7, there is Spartanburg, in terms of output immediately, the most important factory for the Germans. Around 2016 to work it is estimated that there 8.800 people in the facility, which an annual capacity of 450,000 cars.

It sounds a bit harsh, the German brand that year in and year out the Sustainability Index is alleging produces for overseas and export all these cars en masse back across the water (also China is from the US is very far away), that can’t be good for your carbon footprint. On the other hand, in North America are also a lot of SUV’s sold (30% of the production stays there), who had else from Germany should happen to you.

Various other car brands have significant factories in the USA, not a whole ontoevallig in the poorer south, where a lot of space and a large arsenal of labour is. Attractive financial conditions did Mercedes already in Kentucky and VW in Alabama perch (only Audi is still primarily cars from Europe rock), but nowhere is the scale as big as the BMW.

And so it could be that a manufacturer that each year 2 million cars sells the largest car exporter from the US. (via Bloomberg)
