You would after this afternoon I almost think that cruise control is a German invention. Germany saw a thuisrijder win in Hockenheim, but who?
We can the race expanded to analyze, but that is actually not necessary. Although Nico Rosberg prior to the weekend, never been to the stage was at the Hockenheimring, he did himself a minute to worry about the outcome of the race. His only competitor, team-mate Lewis Hamilton, started out as twentieth and could never on the winning German come close.
Hamilton reed nevertheless a pretty strong race, with here and there a considerable obstacle. The first was his starting position after he crashed during the qualifications. In the opening phase he was then a few taps of Adrian Sutil and Kimi were times, and then halfway through the race his front wing piece to drive on the McLaren of Jenson Button.
He kept the damage pretty limited by being the third to finish the race, behind Valtteri Bottas, who also everything from his race got. The Williams driver knew that he was not likely to threaten Rosberg, but will be satisfied that he for the third weekend in a row to the stage.
Kevin Magnussen and Daniil Kvyat took care of the necessary spectacle. The first by Felipe Massa in the first corner upside down, the second by his Toro Rosso impressively in the fire.
